PURE PLATNUM

Michael Shannon has raised the gold standard for playing heavies in film, with this upcoming feature "The Iceman"

If you are unfamiliar with the real-life story of Richard Kuklinski, he was a ruthless, cold-blooded contract killer. He readily admits to having dispatched with over a hundred, or so, people throughout the 50s, 60s, and 70s, all the while maintaining a double life, posing as a straight-laced suburban family man. Apparently he told his wife and kids that he was an Insurance Broker, when in reality he was a psychopath, killing wiseguys for the mob on an almost weekly basis. So it looks like Mr. Shannon will be trading silver hair for his youthful locks. Let's hope he has a backup plan, or at least has some dye in storage, because we really love his portrayal of Federal Agent Van Alden in the hit series Boardwalk Empire. I can't wait for season two this fall...
