What I find fascinating about this video series is the cinematography. The view from the top of the stairs, The parents making slight cameos at the door to the kitchen, the protracted shots of blank walls, the bare bulb lighting. It's kind of eerie, presented as comedy; it reveals poignant moments of real sadness. This kid's parents are miserable. Nice portrait of a depressed, medicated, lost American Nowhere. I have lodged in houses like the one when I was young and rudderless. If they like to hoard animals, it stands to reason that they will include humans. Good times :-(
